Nick is an empirical law and economics scholar who researches topics relevant to antitrust law and public health. Specifically, he studies the influence of state occupational licensing laws on labor markets and the provision of healthcare. Studying occupational licensing provides insight into the trade-offs present in laws that govern nearly one-third of the American workforce, and Nick’s research provides valuable insight into how the costs of these laws can be minimized while the benefits are retained.
Nick earned a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from Vanderbilt Law School.
