Mick Miller is the program director for the principal certification program and a lecturer in the Department of Educational Leadership and Administration. He holds a Washington State Superintendent Certification through Washington State University, an MA in School Administration from Whitworth College and BA (History) from Washington State University. Mr. Miller spent 40 in the K-12 education system in Washington State serving as an Educational Service District Asst. Superintendent (ESD 101), District Superintendent (Deer Park and Walla Walla School Districts), Principal (Kelso and Mead High Schools), Assistant Principal (North Central High School) and Teacher/Advisor/Coach (North Central High School).

While serving as Superintendent in Walla Walla Public Schools, Mr. Miller became aware of the need for all educators to understand how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) impact the lives of students and for the need to for students to develop resiliency skills. He has spoken to thousands of students, parents and educators in Eastern Washington regarding ACEs, childhood trauma and how the development of strong relationships between educators and students can truly help foster resilience.
